2022 Become a Reading Specialist

Certified teachers who are interested in earning additional qualification to become a reading specialist are encouraged to attend an upcoming session of "CU Become a Reading Specialist," a free, virtual workshop that will cover the admission standards and curriculum for earning a Masters of Education degree in Reading.
By pursuing a master's degree in reading, students will experience the preparation necessary to serve as reading specialists in Oklahoma public schools. The program provides pedagogy in the teaching of reading and specialized knowledge for working with children who find reading difficult. It will also prepare reading specialists to review and develop reading curricula for the schools in which they teach.
